Title: The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer
Author: Michelle Hodkin
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing
Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there. It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
The moment I spotted the cover of this book, I was hopelessly hooked! Isn't it so incredibly gorgeous!? I know they say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but sometimes in a huge bookstore with nothing but shelves and shelves of books (oh, bliss), I'd inevitably end up checking out the most good-looking novel.
Aesthetics aside, I've been looking for a book with more mystery and suspense, which keeps you on your toes guessing. The fact that The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer also involves a paranormal theme just makes it even more appealing! Plus, I've heard TONS about the famous Noah Shaw...who can resist a smoking romance involving one very bad boy?
I can't wait to read this book and decide whether it was as great as its cover!
