Follow Friday #4

Q: Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
To be honest, I have never had such an experience before! I mean, sure, I've read books which didn't quite appeal to my tastes. It is my personal opinion that no matter how deep your love for reading might be, it's probably inevitable to stumble upon at least one book that fails to impress. But for myself, I'm a very picky reader. If I feel nothing for a particular novel, chances are I don't force myself to carry on reading it! So there's no "worst book" I actually finished, just books I stopped reading halfway because they captured my attention but didn't manage to keep it.

Aww Felicia. You're so diplomatic :)
Have a great weekend.

I don't have too many books on my "worst books" list but unfortunately there are a few. But the good books certainly outweigh the ones that weren't so great.

Wow, you are really nice with your books lol-- if I read one that I don't like very much I tend to rip it apart in my reviews. I try to be fair by at least pointing out one or two things I did like about them though!

Would love it if you stopped by to see me sometime-- my FF post for this week is at the link below! Have a great weekend and happy reading!!

LUCKY!!! haha

You're very right. It's difficult to choose just one really bad book. After all, I just can't point out one because I think about all the work the author put into it. Unless they're dead. Classics. ;)

You are lucky then.

And this is where I'm most glutton with punishment, because while a particular series of book disappointed me greatly I still had to keep reading to see what was going to happen in the end no matter what. lol.

Happy hops, I hope you have a fantabulous weekend. :)

Ha! I'm just like you. If I don't feel it, I stop reading it. (sometimes it's just a book hangover, in which case I try to read it when I'm in a better mood)

Btw. I totally get what you said about how you age backwards! I read high fantasy books and adult themed books at the age of twelve. Drive my mom crazy. Plus there was that whole awful romance phase that I went through. Then I discovered YA books and I haven't gone back since.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hopping through. Great spirit! And you're smart to stop reading a book if you can't get into it.

Hi, Felicia! I'm an old and faithful follower! ;)

Aww, you're so courteous! x) It's true that whenever a book is really uninteresting or you just don't like it, it's easiest to stop reading instead of forcing yourself.

You've got such a great attitude about it! :)

Hope you have an awesome weekend!

ME TOO!! And many people have told me that they 'have' to finish a book. I used to be that way, but as I read more and more, I'm becoming pickier like you and know what I'll like.

Also, maybe you should read Dreamland Social Club. I mean, I may have been bored by some aspects, but that's just me, and if your friends have recommended it to you, then I'd say go for it!
